Easter Sunday Chris and drove back from AR, to pick up our new puppy, Emmie. She is a Boston Terrier/Pug mix.....a Bugg!! She is so cute, but a mess!! Most of you that know me were shocked to hear of me getting an inside dog.....I think Chris caught me at a weak moment!! HA!! No she is sweet and I love her, but she has got to stop biting!!!

Chris and I went to my parents for Easter this year!! Jay and his family were there for part of the weekend too and we had a great time!! I didn't get any pictures over the weekend except these.... and with these I had to make Chris put his tie back on.. I have got to work on taking more pictures!!!!

March 10th James turned 7!!! WOW!! I can not believe I have a nephew that old!!! He had a FOOTBALL party later that month with his friends .....it was yucky outside so they played flag football in their church gym!! I never got a great picture of him at his party, but here is some of the action!!!

I helped Alexis out one morning and took Wallace and Graves with Josie and I to the park to feed the ducks...they had a great time and really enjoyed being outside.....Wallace and Josie play so good together... Wallace really takes care of Josie and Josie watches out for Wallace too!!!
Then we went to Philips Toy Mart to see the bunnies and of course the trains!!!

Back in February the girls and I had a sleepover over at my brothers with all the kiddos! They had a great time and went to bed really well!! They have so much fun together and really play well together!!! I did not get a lot of pictures... we had got to Ensworth to watch Marshall cheer at halftime of the girls basketball game and then back to their house for snacks and play time!!

The Last Snow... I think

I can't even remember when this was, but I think it was Presidents Day.... It snowed enough to make us want to get out in it and go sledding!! Marshall had been out of town during the BIG snow we had gotten in January and had not been sledding this year!! So I took the girls to Ace Hardware and we bought 3 sleds and headed to the park!!! Chris joined us for a little bit and I even got him to go down once or twice!! (Video coming in a different blog!!)

Josie did sled a lot, but then got cold and ended up in the car....Chris went to join her after a while and when I went to check on them....he was reading her a book... TOO CUTE!!!

Then we went on to play with my niece and nephews at their house and then I promised to take everyone sledding again!!! So Abigail, James, Wallace, Marshall, and I went back to the park... Josie stayed back with baby Graves and Alexis!! The snow was not as deep because so many had been sledding but it still worked and they LOVED it!!!

Lots of pictures...could not decide!! So yes my little Josie is 3!! I really can't believe it!! I mean I know her and Marshall are 3 years apart and Marshall is almost 6, BUT Josie can't be 3!!! She is so fun and has the funniest personality and makes us all laugh all day!!! The things she says are just hilarious!!! I will have to work on a blog for just that one day!!! She gets excited about everything and REALLY makes me see things through a childs eyes and makes it so fun for me!! I know I don't have kids of my own yet, but I can remember talking to their mom before Josie was born and we both would say, "how are we going to love this one as much as we love Marshall??" WOW it is just amazing what God can put in your life and show you how you can love so many!! Josie is such a joy in my life and I can't imagine my life without her!! Happy Birthday to my Josie Bear!! I love you so much!!

After the weekend of all the snow , schools were still closed!! So I took Josie(Marshall was out of town at Disney World) over to see the kids and we actually went to the movies, but when we got back Wallace and Josie went sledding down Jay and Lex driveway!!

So the day after the BIG snow I went to see my brother and the kids... I wanted to go sledding and they had been the day before!!! They live close to Radnor Lake and they have a great hill to go down....Jay and I took James and Wallace and it was so much fun!!!! Chris had to go out of town so he was gone!! :(

We got about 5 inches on the 2nd snow of the year....Chris and I went to lunch that Friday and then to see the kids that night.....that night when we got back home it snowed even more....it was fun taking pictures....We tried to go out and build a snowman, but the snow was not packing very good that night!!!

I am glad I married a good Driver!!!

Since my birthday is in the middle of all the holidays it is sometimes hard to get everyone together!! Amanda did a great job to get everyone together in early January!! We met at the new YOLOS in Green Hills... it was really good!! Thank you girls for coming out!! We need to do it again soon!!!

Another Sleepover

Again in January the girls came to spend the night with me...Chris was out of town so it was just us girls!!! They love pajama parties with a movie and popcorn so that is what we did!!!

The next morning their parents picked them up for breakfast and their was snow on the ground again!!! YEAH!!! So we played around in it while we waited!!

The 1st snow of the year(early January)... it wasn't BIG but it was enough to get out in and have some fun with my girls!!! Josie didn't have school this day she and I played in it in the morning!! I couldn't wait to go get Marshall from school so that she could play in it too!!! When it comes to snow I am big kid...Well I guess I am always a kid with my job, but I LOVE SNOW!!!!

New Years Day with Family

We have started a new tradition with my dads side of the family....a few years ago we started getting together on New Years Day for Christmas!! This family has grown so much in the last 12 years and we have more kids than you can imagine and 2010 will bring 2 more!!! It is so fun to get together with all my aunts, uncles, and cousins!!!
It really makes me wish my Granny Ma was still
with us because she would love to hold all these beautiful babies!!! I know she watches over us and has that beautiful smile on her face!!! I am so thankful for the family that I have and that we all are able to still get together!! My dads sister and brother take turns having it at their houses and I am so thankful for that!!!

A Mississippi Christmas

We so thankful to be able to make it to both my parents and his parents for Christmas and not be rushed!! We got to spend a little under a week at his families and we had a lot of fun!! We took the kids to Chuck E Cheese one day and got to spend some time at his cousins house for New Years Eve with his dads side of the family!!! We got spoiled by his moms great cooking and I was spoiled with sleeping in so much!! Oh it was great!!!

Over Christmas break my friend Millie and I loaded up as many kids as we could in her moms suburban and went out for a FUN FULFILLED DAY!!!!!

First stop??? Ice Skating! All I can say is thank goodness for Millie...ice skating is not for me and I was no HELP!! Josie gets out there some, but she does not last long!!! They all had a great time!!!

A Day with Camdyn

Team JuJu and Josie went to watch baby Camdyn when his mommy had to go to a meeting!!! He was so sweet and I was happy to get to spend some time with him!! Josie loved the "NEW" playroom to play in and we had a great day!!! (Camdyn has twin sisters so there was plenty for her to play with!!!) Josie my BIG helper!!

The girls stayed one night with Chris and I back in December!! We had movie and popcorn and pajama party!!! They had so much fun....Chris got booted out of his bed and had to go to the guest room....not sure I will ever do that again!! Chris and I decided that we were going to go out to a tree farm and cut down our own tree....well we tried but ended up just buying a tree at the farm that had already been cut down!! I didn't like the type of tree that you had to cut down and on top of that there were not any big pretty ones of those anyway!!! I had to get a picture of him with his big saw though!! We had a great time driving out there and plan to try again next year!!! Yes we almost waited to late....

Thanksgiving in Arkansas

This year I was in Arkansas for Thanksgiving....Chris?? he had to work!!! :( We made the decision for him to work because we were really afraid that December was going to be slow and he had a great trip to drive during Thanksgiving weekend!! It was not bad, but I think we both agree that we don't want to do that again!!

Happy One Year Anniversary

November 15th...Chris and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary!!! I honestly can not believe that it has already been a year!!! I would so love to go back to that day...it was so beautiful and so much fun....all the people that I love in one place...and most importantly I married my best friend!!! Thank for a great year Chris and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!!!

This is our cake topper.....it was still VERY good!! We did not actually get to have it on our anniversary because it was at my parents....so my mom brought it when they came.....it just so happened that we got to eat it on December 15th.....just a month late!!!
We celebrated at our favorite place....Chappy's!!! I did not get a great picture of us together!!!

The Rest of October

I am so behind on my blog that I have just had to combine the rest of October so I can get caught up quicker!!!!

I took Marshall and Josie to Harpeth Hall for the Fall Festival that they have every year....we took some of the friends too...they had a great time!!!!

Erica, Kim and I try to carve pumpkins together every year!!! Our husbands come sometimes, but are usually not a lot of help...but I will give them a little credit this year because they showed more interest this year.... Hollis was able to join in this year!! Little Darby will be around next year!!!!

I did the monster(with help from Kim) Erica and Ryan did the Trick or Treat and Kim did the Mickey Mouse!! Erica and I used a stencil and Kim did hers by hand.... She is too good!!!!

I had to add this picture...on the way home Chris put the pumpkin on Marshalls carseat and I was worried it was going to fall over so he stopped and buckled it in!! This is our lil pumpkin...

Kim had a Halloween Party one afternoon with friends with little ones.... I stopped by to see everyone....here is Raleigh...she was a pig just like Josie, but did not like her costume!!!

After a long fun filled weekend my wonderful husband did the laundry, the grocery shopping, and ran some errands for me!!! Mondays are always pretty crazy and I was just beat after sleeping with Marshall for two nights!!! I came home Monday night from work and found these Beautiful flowers on the table!!! I was able to cook us some dinner and just relax!!! Thank yoiu babe for all that you do!!! I love you!!!

We love Soccer and Gymnastics!!!!

Marshall has been playing soccer(when it has not been raining) this fall and she has really enjoyed in this time around!! It does help that she is older and understands it a lot better!!! Her favorite spot is goalie and she is pretty good one at that!!!! This was the game I had her over the weekend and it was cold!! I left Josie home with Chris and his family because it was so cold!!! I have been really proud of her this fall!! We play our last game tomorrow!!! She is also taking a dance class after school, but since I don't get to go to that one..I have no pictures!!!

Now Josie and I go to gymnastics every Wednesday and she loves it!!!! She wakes up wanting her leotard on right away!!! She is so cute and just loves her teacher!! The other day she told me that Christina was going to be so happy to see her!!! Too cute!!!

I will have to say that the feelings are mutual...Coach Christina always says she would love to steal my job and spend the day with Josie!!! Christina was also Marshalls teacher..she is awesome!!!

Honeysuckle Hill Farm

Last weekend Chris's parents and brother and his family were able to come up and stay with us for the weekend!! I had the girls that weekend so it was a lot of fun for all the kids to play with each other!! We all stayed at the girls house and had plenty of room and more importantly a playroom for the kids to play in!! On Saturday we loaded everyone up and went to the Pumpkin Patch and it was pretty cold and windy that day but it was still a lot of fun!!!

The wind was cold at the Pumpkin Patch his parents went to the car after a little while and then his brother took the kids back after a little while too!! I was hoping to get a family picture but maybe next time!! Of courst the next day was sunny and warmer but I think the wind was still cold!!! What a precious baby boy!!! I had just missed the Big Sisters Abigail and Ansley!!! They had gone back to school for lunch and a nap!! I loved these pictures because he had just had his first bath and his little hair made a mohawk!!! I was not sure who he looked like, but I heard a lot of people say Rebecca!!! He is a cutie!!!! Camdyn was born on Friday, October 16th!!! He weighed 7 lbs 12oz......I got to go up there around lunch and hold him!! Rebecca looked great and Eric was already calling the Hogs with Camdyn!! (SCARY!!!) HA!! I am so happy for the whole family and I can't wait to go get some more lovin from Camdyn and see the Big Sisters!!!!

If you ever get bored and are looking for something to do with kids...GO TO TARGET!!!! HA!! The girls love going to Target...( I am pretty sure I have raised them there!! HAHA!!!) Marshall is really into the scary Halloween stuff so we started trying on costumes and masks!! They didn't really scare Josie that bad, but she was really funny about them!! But Josie loved the Scooby Doo costume!!!

Abigail is in 6th grade now and she cheered for the 6th grade football team this year!! I did not make it to as many games I would have liked, but I did make it to one!! This day was really hot and James had baseball at the same time so it was just Alexis and Graves and I.... Abigail did a great job and they really seemed to have a lot of fun!!!

A Day Out with Thomas

My friend Amy from home came to stay with us for a weekend back in September and brought her husband and 2 preicous kids!!! We planned to go to "A Day out with Thomas" and it was so much fun!!! I was able to take the girls with us and they loved it too!!! I will have to say it was a little warm that day, but still a lot of fun!!! Chris was not able to join us last minute because he has to work so I invited my friend Kim and her son Hollis!!!

My best friend from high school, Eric and his wife are expecting a baby boy, Camdyn Mitchell, this week actually!!! Some of the family had a shower for Camdyn at the church and I was so glad that I was able to attend!! Camdyn will have 2 precious BIG sisters, Abigail and Ansley. Abigail and Ansley are 3 1/2 and can't wait to meet their baby brother!!! Eric's family has always been a second family to me and I was so happy when Eric's sister came with her baby girl Sloane that I had not met yet!! Her husband did not make the trip with them, he stayed back with their son Benson. The Johns/Bland family is growing quickly....Momma Donna and Daddy Lance will have 6 grandkids after Camdyn's arrival!!!

In August we got to go back to my Aunt and Uncles cabin with my whole family again!! This was our third year in a row and we had a lot of fun!! On Saturday a lot of other aunts and uncles and cousins came and hung out with us and we grilled out that night!! It is always fun to have everyone down there!!! Baby Graves was only 7 weeks and had just gotten back from his beach trip!! Again a lot of pictures because I can't just do a few when there is so much going on!! I hope you enjoy!!!

Congratulations to my old roomie Marci!!! She had this precious baby boy....Teague Minton Smith on July 19th!!! 2 weeks early!! I guess he could not wait to see the world!! Because he was early I missed meeting him at the hospital because I was in CO.....so I got to go meet him when I got back and hold and love on this precious baby!!!

He is over 2 months old now.....but better late than never!! Congrats Marci and Chad!!!

Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey

The week after I got back from CO...I was off a whole week and so Chris and I decided to take a day trip to Lynchburg, TN. We ate lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's and went to see the Jack Daniels Distillery.....Miss Bobo's was so good and I hate that I didn't get any pictures of the house or anything there!! The food was great and we sat with a fun group of people!! This is a must eat place if you are ever that close!!! And then it was on to Jack Daniels!!!

Colorado Mountains

In July I went to CO with the Wilts and their friends the Wallace's!!! We had a great time and the weather was perfect!!! The Wallace's have 3 kids and they are all so good!! I helped with all the kids at night and sometimes during the day. All 5 were really good for me and we had a good time!!! Their youngest is Lucy(4) and I have started keeping her on Mondays this Fall and we really have a lot of fun!! I could not decide on pictures so I know there are a lot, but oh well!! I will write about some of them but not all!!

They were having a big event at the top of the mountain one day and there was a booth where they were giving haircuts...Dallas and I both thought it was time for Josie to get one...she was not the happiest customer.....but wow what a difference it made!!!
I told Dallas it looked like Marshall was getting an up-do for prom!!! She is beautiful!!!

Just to let you know this water was FREEZING!!!!!! The kids did not care!!! Marshall and Lucy!!!

Rafting Trip...it was fun and again the water was FREEZING but there were several that jumped in at some point!! NOT ME!!!!

This is how we found Josie after she had gotten out of her bed after we put her down...she found Dallas' makeup!!!

One day we went to a ranch and it was beautiful!!! Both families went on a canoe ride while I did a small hike!!! While they were out in their canoes Marshall wanted to get out to go see something so they went to the edge of the lake and let her out...well before she got to land they saw a moose coming up behind her...it was like 5 feet from her... Fleming called quickly for her to get back in the canoe...she had to leave her shoes and get back in ...they did not have their camera, but came back over and got mine and Dallas was able to get a couple of shots of him coming around the lake!! While they went back out for pictures the girls and I were standing on the dock and the moose starting running around and we had to jump in the little shed and right when we got in the moose jumped the dock!! SCARY!!!

Marshall took ice skating lessons while we were there....she loved it!!!

The kids all had a GREAT time at WOW!!! It was a lot of fun to all be at my parents house together!! Mom and I entertained during the day(another post coming on that!) and the kids really got along great and were really good for us!!

So after going to Wallace Party in Rector we headed to my parents to set up for the week!! My parents got bunkbeds for the kids and Marshall and Josie were so excited about them!! (Josie was not able to sleep in them, but she enjoyed playing in them!!)

Wallace's Party in AR

Wallace has his family party in AR at Alexis' moms house the weekend after his birthday!! I was taking Marshall and Josie to Arkansas for the week anyway so we were able to go to his party as well!!! He wanted a CARS party so that is what he got!!! My friend Amy Shumate in Jonesboro made the cake and it was great!! (her cake blog is on my friend list..you have to go look for other awesome cakes she has made!!!)

Wallace does not like cake...he is a very picky eater!!! Not very many people are very happy when they finally get their child to eat cake, but we all were!! We are now trying to think how we could make all foods pink!! HA!!!

Yes I was back at Chuck E Cheese in less than a week!! On Wallace's actual birthday...July 7th, Chris and I met their family for some fun times at Chuck E Cheese!! Wallace loves it and does not like pizza so he goes for the coke and games!!! HA!!!

Ship Island and the 4th of July

Chris and I were able to take a long weekend to MS to see his family for the 4th of July!! We got there late Wednesday night and stayed until Monday afternoon!!! On Thursday we went to Ship Island on a boat in Gulfport, MS. Chris and I went by ourselves and had a great time!!! It was great to be on the beach for the day and play in the ocean too!!

Burgess Falls

Chris took me to Burgess Falls on Father's Day and we had so much fun!!! Sometimes on the weekends and week nights when we have nothing to do I start going CRAZY!! HAHA!!! And this was one of those days...I just wanted to do something!!! So he had heard about this place about an hour outside of Nashville and I was all for it!! It was HOT and I am sure I did a little complaining, but it was well worth it!! It is a hike through about 6 different falls....the last one is the biggest and you can walk all the way to the bottom of it and it was amazing!! The breeze down there and you could feel the water... you could swim if you wanted to, but we stayed up on the rocks!! Very beautiful!!!

Marci is having a baby and actually as I type this a month after this wonderful shower she now has a one day old baby boy named Teague!!! I have not gotten to see him because I am out of town, but I have seen pictures and he is precious!!!

Yes I am an Aunt again and he is the most precious baby!! Graves Brown was born June 8th around 12:30am..... he was 2 weeks early and weighed in at 9lbs 1oz. He came out PERFECT!! (not kidding!!)

His name comes from both sides of the family....Graves is Alexis' moms maiden name and Brown was my grandfathers name!! They are calling him Graves!!

My very best friend from high school lives in Nashville with his family and I NEVER see him!! He has the cutest twin girls that I don't get to spend a lot of time with so when they asked me to keep them Memorial Day weekend I couldn't pass it up!!! I went and stayed with Abigail and Ansley for 2 nights and we had so much fun!! They are so sweet and too cute!! I will be honest..I have the hardest time telling these girls apart!!! These 2 nights didn't make it easier either! I kept them straight though, but most the time I dressed them in the same thing but different colors!!! Abigail is always in the pink!!

Belle Meade Police Department had a safety rodeo in the Parking Lot of St. Georges school and I so I took the girls over and let them play and have some fun!! They also had a station where they would look at your carseats and check them out! I really learned a lot and learned that Josie's seat in my car is expired.....I will be honest and tell you I didn't not know they expired!! I mean I knew that some are improved and you might want to look into new ones, but this seat is the same one I bought new when Marshall was little so it is not that old!! They told me that they were suppose to take it away from me but they were out of those seats for that age and could not give me a new one and couldn't allow me to leave with her not it one!! WOW!! The girls learned a lot too and all in all it was a great experience!!! We did not have a helmet for Marshall because hers is too small now...They were also out of those!! Not sure why they were out of all these items because we were one fo the first groups there...I guess they were not prepared!! HA!!

This was the first time we heated up the pool and started swimming back at the end of April or first of May.....James(my nephew) and GiGi a friend of Marshall's came over and swam with the girls!! They had a lot of fun!

I have been able to catch us ALMOST to date!! I am seriously close!! I hope everyone is having a good summer!! We have stayed busy with camps and some family time too!! I am getting a new nephew tonight so I am hoping to get some new pics on here of baby #4!!!

A Day at the Zoo

A few weeks ago Chris was off during the week and we decided to go to the Zoo... I had Wallace that day and he and Josie kept talking about wanting to go...so once we picked up Marshall from school we headed to the zoo!! Marshall, Wallace, and Josie!!

They are too cute... they really play well together!! I had to take this picture because not long ago I found a picture of Marshall and James(my other nephew) at about this same age and Marshall is wearing that outfit and they are standing in front of this sign!! I will have to see if I can find that other pic again!!

Josie loves Chris and I will have to say Chris feels the same way about her!!! Great buddies!!!

A much needed getaway!!!

Back in May Chris and I took a much needed little getaway to Chattanooga...we had a free hotel room and thought we would just spend one night and spend the day in Chattanooga while we were both off work at the same time!!! With him driving now and not ever knowing when he will work and with me working all the time it is hard to have a weekend where we are both off!! Well we found one and took a road trip!!! We left when I got off work one Friday and this is the rainbow we saw on our way there!!! What a beautiful drive!! We stopped at the hotel and I changed clothes and then we went downtown to eat at Sticky Fingers!!! It was really good....

The next morning our first stop was Rock City.... I had never been and it was a lot of fun!!!

After Rock City we went and walked around Point Park....it was really pretty but I could not get over that we had to pay to walk around....

We had a crazy tour guide ...you know the ones with the most annoying voice and the corny jokes!!! Oh yes we had that one... she had that squeaky voice and Chris was talking like her by the end!!!

Again this is how Chris was through a lot of the cave...We really had a great time and I really look forward to going back to Chattanooga and doing some more of the stuff downtown!! We went and walked around downtown before we left but didn't do the aquarium like we wanted!! We decided to save it for the next time!!! Thank you Chris for taking me away!!

Noah's Ark

Sun Beam.... she was so excited about her play!! She did a great job and looked beautiful!! I didn't get very many great pictures because my camera does not work great in this room!! I may have to see if I can get one off Dallas' camera!! She is the first one on the left!!!

Mother's Day at the Park

Mother's Day weekend my parents were in town for James play and dad was able to take off the Sunday and stay for the whole weekend!! We decided to try and get dads family together in Columbia so we all went to church at Maury Hills and then went to the park in Columbia... it would have been nice if I could have gotten some pictures of MOTHERS but I didn't get my camera out til late and I didn't get very many pictures!!! We had probably over 50 people there and the kids had a great time!!! Jenny's family was able to be there too and my moms two brothers and their wives were able to join us as well!! It was a beautiful day and the rain held off!! Chris was not able to be there because he was driving to DC... I told him he was excused since I was not a mom yet, but that I am pretty sure he can't always leave me on Mother's DAy!! HA HA!!! The Park where we hung out

Or hung out with the little ones....THey even each got a stroller with one and took them on a walk... my camera died or I would have got a picture of that parade!!

But Wallace stuck to Uncle Jon the whole time... he is his little buddy!!
